Kape means river crab in my dad's native dialect, Pangasinense. Kape also means coffee in my mom's language, Tagalog. The river crab motif in traditional Filipino tattoos represents adaptability, resilience, and the traveler. Kape Kape is my love letter to being Filipino-American, written in the form of coffee.
